Established in 1993 as a wholly owned subsidiary of TWI Ltd, TWI Certification Ltd (TWI CL) embodies independence and impartiality in delivering certification aligned with international standards. Accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to BS EN ISO/IEC 17024 and BS EN ISO/IEC 17065, TWI CL develops and implements certification schemes, approves training courses, and authorizes assessments to meet industry needs.
In the Personnel Certification section, TWI CL ensures competence assurance via CSWIP and BGAS-CSWIP schemes, providing employer confidence in compliance with standards. CSWIP certificates offer assurance of staff competence, welder qualifications and testing, and operate the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS). Additionally, TWI CL is a provider of welding procedure qualifications (WPQR).
Company Certification caters to manufacturers with schemes like Welding Fabricator Certification, Conformity Assessment of Steel and Aluminium Structures, Certification for Welding of Railway Vehicles, and Certification of Manufacture of Special Materials. These certifications showcase compliance with European and International product standards, contributing to global company success.
TWI CL is an approved End Point Assessment Organisation for Apprenticeship Standards and the Authorised Nominated Body for the European Welding Federation (EWF) and the International Institute of Welding (IIW).
